Mit seinem Album Pale Blossoms bewegt sich der Berliner Bohemian KLABUNDE weg vom roots-orientierten Folk der Vorgaengeralben und hin zu einem kunstvoll mit Streichern arrangierten Mix aus fragilem Indie-Pop / Folk mit gelegentlichen Bossa Nova- und Country- Anklaengen.
In stilistischer Naehe zu Kuenstlern wie NICK DRAKE, DAMIAN RICE oder KINGS OF CONVENIENCE liegt den elf Songs des Albums stets eine melancholische Stimmung zugrunde, wobei es dem Kuenstler hinreissend gelingt, diese oft selbstironisch und humorvoll zu konterkarieren, so dass sich Lovesongs urploetzlich in ihr Gegenteil verkehren koennen.

The young Mr. Klabunde from Berlin follows the Folk and Songwriter tradition of musicians as Nick Drake and Bob Dylan and widens this area: His repertoire starts with spartanic acoustic arrangements and does not yet end with fluffy tunes guided by bossanovalike hooklines.
Somewhere inbetween classical arrangements with cello and violin meet bluesy slide guitars just as heard on his recent record 'Pale Blossoms'.
