Music
I've always been partial to the oud, harp and flute.
I miss the Ramones, and fondly recall my drunken days at CBGB.
Lately, Coltrane has been in heavy rotation on my iPod. Of course, I still have a playlist for Bartok, Beethoven and Brahms.
As the weather gets warmer, I turn to Bob Marley and the Wailers.
I'm a fan of Waylon Jennings and Willie Nelson (got to hang with Willie once or twice on his tour bus, although I doubt he remembers me). More recently, the guys in the warehouse have turned me on to Dresden Dolls (Yes, Virginia!).
I've been known to listen to Neil Diamond, and find the Kronos Quartet oddly reminiscent of Haydn in his more experimental days. I admire Rob Zombie, and find him to be a kindred spirit.
Also on my iPod right now: Portishead, The Yardbirds, Billie Holiday and a couple of Verdi Operas.
Movies
Klaus the Red. If Glen and Chris can ever sell the script. I pretty much like anything with Peter Dinklage or Philip Seymour Hoffman. Those two should really work together. Imagine the possibilities!
Lately, I find myself watching Russ Meyer films. I'm a fan of Menippean satire.
So what is Klaus the Red? My story. As told to a couple of idiots. Full of sound and fury. Don't get me wrong. They're trying their best. And I'm a patient man. You kind of have to be when you live this long.
Television
Only recently bought a TV. An LCD for the workshop, as the guys like wrestling and I gotta have my football. To answer Glen's question, it's satellite service, but exept for the NFL, I actually prefer YouTube and watching DVDs.
Books
Books? I've read enough to fill libraries, but no particular author comes to mind. Do plays count? I guess Mr. William Shakespeare's Comedies, Histories and Tragedies (nice fellow) would top the list. But my copy of the first folio is starting to fall apart. Also a fan of Kit Marlowe. Shame about the stabbing. Now there's a story!
But books? Let's see. Emerson's Conduct of Life, Representative Men, and Essays are all required reading as far as I'm concerned. Then there's anything by Tolstoy, Joyce, Dostoevsky, Dickens and Bronte. I knew many a writer, including some of the aforementioned, and many others (Kerouac, Conrad and Mark Twain to name a few). But at the risk of sounding like a name dropper, let's just say I've been privileged to move among the literati of many a generation
Heroes
I've known princes. I've known kings. I've supped with good men like Benjamin Franklin and Leo Tolstoy. I've long admired the work of Ralph Waldo Emerson. But heroes? The most heroic men and women are unsung. They fight in life's trenches everyday. They teach children or care for the elderly. They realize that gifts are more about giving than receiving.
Each and every one of us is capable of heroic action. Look to your friends, neighbors, and most of all, family; care for their needs. Be a hero for them.

About me: World traveler. Old soul. Giver of gifts. Friend to little people. Blogger. Do you believe in Santa Claus? Neither do I. I lose all faith from time to time. But there's truth to most myths. Sometimes, you just have to believe in something.
Perhaps it will all make more sense when the movie is made. Chris and Glen are doing their best. Even soliciting pictures of me!
So much foolishness. But the ocassional postcard gets the nose right. Funny how art can be more real than life. Who knows. If they get any good pics, I'll post them here. I'm new to computers, so be patient. Eventually, I will get around to "adding" all who believe. Naughty or nice.
Who I'd like to meet: My wife, in heaven, if I make it. If it's there.
Beer summit...I have no clue...all I know is that I worked Eulogy/Beneluxx for two days and my heart beats with reluctance. Stay tuned...I have a good feeling that Jet Chocolate Tavern will open in Bluebell, PA by January. I have so many fun/good ideas that I can't wait to share with all its patrons...certainly, one-of-a-kind place.

It was my pleasure...if they only knew...and have you been hanging with "Claus"...Madison Ave seems to have created a hipper version...I think I'm going to hang with him for a bit while you are off on the island.
My Dear Friend,..Happy Holidays to you and all of your loved ones...I am very hopeful for a new beginning , change is going to come..and i hope people will just love each other
Hey thanks for keeping me on your friend list all this time. I mean after all that little stint of probation a few years back was really just a mistake. The police officer was obviously just crabby that night. After all if what I did was so bad, all the others wouldn't have let me go. (Just kidding, kind of 'wink) Ho ho ho!
For the first time ever, The Santa Monica Contemporary Ballet and EarthWalk Dance Company will be presenting The Nutcracker Electronique live in Los Angeles December 18-21, 2008!
"Sexy! Stunning!"
I've created three brand new tracks to accompany the performance, along with the X-Mas music already on the CD!..
Looks like I'll be in LA March 15th for a Real World reunion, 20 seasons...that's two weeks earlier than originally thought. Where have you been...any chance you'll be in LA or Vegas either time?...would love to hang out...catch up...see who you are discovering these days...maybe hang with one of your new friends...future ground breaker...trend setter...as always...YOU RULE. Don't worry, your story will be told...the right way...the correct version...just need to sell/make a few low budgets first.
