Asian American Vocalist Klose hails from the southern cool of Asheville,NC. Half Thai and Half Country she has been exposed to a plethera of unique sounds and experiences.By middle school she was writing poetry and was heavily influenced by music especially hip-hop. Somehow the poetry became raps and she never even realized it until after high school. Surrounded by an array of talented individuals Klose was always influenced by musicians since a young age...One day at a party she was inspired by a good friend to jump into a freestyle cipher and fell in love with the art of being an emcee. Dating another emcee didn't hurt her interest and they soon formed the group Phonosynthesis in 2001. Phonosynthesis performed locally in NC and recorded two independent albums. After the group split in 2003 Klose was in search of her own personal development and style.She began working with Draf on Drum and Bass tracks and they soon played shows all over North Carolina.Klose performed live freestyle sets along with Draf...and soon after he engineered her first lp "Konnections" featuring LuckyIam from Living Legends and Foulmouth Jerk from GFE. Klose released this under management and the label R.A.S.T.A. Flyte. She has shared the stage with or opened for Burning Spear,SoundtribeSector 9,LTJ Bukem,Digable Planets,members of Toubab Krewe,GFE,Yo Mamas Big Fat Booty Band,Abstract Rude,Adeem,Mystic,DJ Equal,Breez Evahflowin, and many more...
She has performed at the Seattle Zulu Nation Festival,Koncrete Jungle NYC, End of the Weak, NCDNB Conference,and appeared on Hip-Hop 101 Television,KEXP Seattle,and Vintage Music Radio.
Klose also held a residency in Asheville on Wall St. promoting a Hip-Hop weekly for local artists and started and coordinates a charity benefit called Help Through Hip-Hop booking artists to raise money for charities such as oxfam and support causes such as rape,tsunami relief,poverty,and breast cancer.
Klose is currently between Baltimore and Asheville working on her upcoming EP and about to drop her first mixtape 'The Amulet" with production from a wide variety of talented producers.
