Interests

  • General

Hmmm. Well, I like soul-winning, going to church, reading my Bible, getting preached to, and praising the Lord. I also like to meet fellow born-again believers. :D
  • Music

I like Old Fashioned Christian Music that glorifies the Creator, rather than the creation. I like hymns and choir music.
  • Movies

I'm not really a movie person.
  • Television

I don't watch much television these days. Some call it the hell-a-vision, and some call it the tell-lie-vision. I just call it a waste of time.
  • Books

The King James Bible a.k.a. the Authorized Version
  • Heroes

Jesus Christ, the One Who paid the price so that I could be set free.

    Steven Barnes,
    Ron Westmoreland,
all of the other men of God at my church,
    Curtis Hutson,
    Jack Hyles,
    Chuck Harding,
    David Grice,
and any other true Independent Baptist who holds that:

† Salvation is by grace through faith in Jesus Christ, and Him ALONE
† The King James Bible is God's inspired Word,
† The local New Testament church is a body of believers and that Jesus is the Head of that body which He started in His earthly ministry,
† Baptism is for believers only,
† EVERY Christian was created by God to fellowship with God on a daily basis and to win souls!

    ††I also HIGHLY respect all soul-winners. :)

About me:

I grew up in a small Protestant school. I prayed a prayer in first grade and thought I was saved, but never really had eternal security. During the summer before tenth grade I went to the Bill Rice Ranch with a group of kids at church. There, I surrendered my life to Christ, but I still lacked confidence of my salvation.

A few years later, I graduated from my high school. I wasn't quite ready for college, though, so I started looking for a job, but couldn't find one for a long time. Finally, I was offered a job at my school to work as a teacher's assistant, or "monitor" as they called it. The first year I worked strictly voluntarily, with no pay. The next couple of years I was paid a small salary. It wasn't much, but it was more than I had ever made in my life.

It was around this time that I started hanging around on Youtube. I had been on there before, but had never actually published any videos on the site. At first, my videos were very worldy. I used cutscenes from video games and music from Disney and other artists.

After a while, I decided that that wasn't really what a Christian should be doing. Even back then, I was pretty old-fashioned. So, I took those down, and made more videos, this time using the same scenes from the video games, but using Christian music: not contemporary, but the kind of music that choirs sing. It probably wasn't the best thing to do, but it's what I did at the time.

One day, a Gideon stumbled across some of these videos of mine, and they intrigued him, he said. Well, I grew quite fond of this fellow, and started watching his videos. I soon found out that he was King James Only. I personally had never read anything but the King James, but I never called myself King James Only. After watching his videos, though, I did. I still didn't have assurance of salvation, but I knew the King James was God's Word.

A couple months later, I was browsing some of his videos and happened across a related video from a different user: a preacher, actually. This video was a soul-winning demonstration video. After watching it, I wanted more. So, I watched some more of this preacher's videos. I eventually came across one about why repenting of sins is not Biblical for salvation. This video hit home, because I was always taught that one must repent from all his sins and commit his life to Christ to be saved.

After watching that video, I realized I wasn't saved. I knew exactly what salvation was, and I did not have it. Needless to say, I did not stay in that condition. I asked Jesus Christ to save me, trusting in His shed blood alone for my salvation.

Sometimes I do still doubt my salvation, but I know it's just the Devil trying to make me stumble. All I have to do is read I John 5, and I KNOW that I am saved. I am so thankful for the endless love of our Saviour Who not only loved us, but also paid the price for all of our sins.

Shortly after my salvation, after some troublesome circumstances, I was able to find myself a great church. We go soul-winning, are King James Only, sing old-fashioned Christian music, and the preaching is wonderful. I even got baptized on June 7, 2009, by Brother Barnes. :)

Yep, God's been good.

Salvation is NOT what a lot of people will tell you. Salvation is a free gift and ANYONE can be saved. Yes, it is good to live for God, but that is NOT what makes you a Christian. :) ......
