Guess who's back!! YES Kman leader and brainchild of the now defunct Trip The Off has decided it was time to get you back up and stomping your feet to the rock and roll ska sounds of The 45's! After chilling in Canada's under underground scene for 12 years with Trip The Off producing 2 full length albums and 4 ep's and ending on a successfull note while their last album Street Music was in the top 10 radio charts in Montreal, he is back stronger than ever with a kick ass band made up of some of Montreal's finest ska musicians. When we say finest ska musicians we're talking about Patty Tee (ex One Night Band) on trombone,Lord Max (ex The Hoodlums), Daryl Meili on bass (Daryl has played with everyone including The Kingpins, Mikey Dangerous and many more... dude even won a freaking Juno! haha), Brian Smith (The Capones, Stepper and many more) and friend Lorrain Muller (The Kingpins, Lo and the Magnetics and mucho more) also recorded with them and can sometimes be seen playing with them live as well. The recording also features ex Trip The Off drummer Mark Wyjad and friend Patrizio McLelland of Danny Rebel and the KGB on a few tracks as well. Sound like a good time? You betcha! The Band came together after Kman was feeling a little lost and wanted to get right to the root of the matter and kick out some pure rock and roll based ska. They stated writting songs and playing shows quickly and have now played a bunch and have garnered quite the reputation even before releasing their first album... They kicked off the 2009 ska fest, rocked the 2010 Montreal Ska fest at Club Soda, Headlined a festival featuring 10 bands, consitently packed Cafe Campus in Montreal to very enthousiastic crowds that even started crowd surfing at their shows...They have rocked Ottawa as well packing The Dom, have played other Ontario cities as well. Not bad for a start, eh? Kman and the 45's have finished recording their first album, entitled Got Me Moving, which will be released in Feb 2011 and have released the first single: "The Red Guy Always Wins" and produced a video for it as well... check it out... good fun. 2011 is set up to be a big year for The 45's with tours being planned and the release of the album... get in touch and we'll see you soon!
