About me:
My three primary activities are reading, writing, and parenting. I have five children, three of whom are still underfoot. I try to drive them away with infrequently washed clothes, poorly cooked meals, and general ornerynous (especially when I am working on a story) but somehow they and my dear husband want to stick around anyway. Thank goodness!
I have had articles, both shorts and features, published in a variety of parenting and adoption oriented magazines over the past ten years but am trying to focus efforts on fiction writing these days (meanwhile poetry and creative nonfiction seems to be leaking out at the same time).
And I'm reading as much as possible. Current choices include short story collections by Hawthorne, Alice Munroe, and James Joyce. I'm also enjoying the immense talent of writers found in Surreal South edited by Pinckney and Laura Benedict.
