Kryple is an upcoming Rapper and prespiring producer from the city of Edmonton, Alberta in Canada's praries. Growing up, Kryple was always into 2 things, wrestling and hip hop, as he got older, music started to overpower the love for wrestling and became a hobby more than an interest. At 15 he started writing lyrics just for the fun of it, and recorded a few songs on his computer, but nothing proffesional. After to moving from Edmonton to Toronto, then back to Edmonton he started hitting Edmonton's premiun hip hop studio Smashtbenz with his childhood friend Bagpipes, and the group Kryptic Mindz was formed. After about a year monthly sessions all their worked was put on hold when they added a new member to the mix, a guy by the name of Trippz. After adding a 3rd member, the group was excited to start working on their first CD entitled "Live Like You Were Dying" while at the same time, Kryple had started to reach out to other artists in the city in hopes to spread his name. After recording a track with Dirt Gritie from Politic Live, his first major connection was made. He had started helping out with local shows and charity hip hop events, gaining respect from artists/producers that had no idea who he was. After Attending a local show, he met another perspiring artists named Komrade form the group Brothers Grim. A couple months went by and it seemed nothing was getting done but so much work was being put in, so he started expanding his horizon and going to more shows, meeting more people, basically telling anybody who would listen what he was doing. Just as things started to pick up, a family emergency occurred and Kryple was forced to go live in New Brunswick. After 5 months of living in the maritimes, Kryple returned home to Edmonton and started working immediately on Live Like You Were Dying, and began workin alot with the Brothers Grim. He would go to Komrade & PG’s house quite often to write lyrics, think of concepts, anything music related really. After featuring a couple times on Brothers Grim’s first album Don’t Judge A Book By It’s Cover, it was decided that Bros Grim were gonna shoot a video for the single “City Is Dying” Featuring Kryple & Trippz. After the video was released there was instant recognition, other local artists who had been rapping for years started giving props and respect to him and taking him more seriously. Along with the video came other things, Grim Empire being one of them. Grim Empire is a crew of rappers who rep harder than most, and have a unique blend of talent, charisma, and drive. Grim Empire consists of Brothers Grim, Kryple & Trippz, & Stripes. The Empire is steadily building fanbase, and as for Kryple, him and Trippz are currently working on an Album entitled “Rythum N Flow” to be fully produced by Kazmega, watch out for it in the fall of 09’
