After Le Fuffle collected the Officer-of-the-Order-of-the-Argentinian-Empire-Award from the Queen back in 1997, he expressed his wish to found a band, in order to share his newly achieved honor with some dear mates.
KNIFF 17 was founded in 1998 in a bloody district of Hallein/Austria .. Mitterau. Their lineup consists of vocalist Electric Esterhazy, guitarist Le Fuffle, trombonist O'Leery, and drummer Spirulli Angsthonig. They formed Kniff 17 for the purpose of expressing political viewpoints and discussing problems facing urban youth, which all of the members had experience dealing with themselves.
Kniff 17 began opening for local hardcore and thrash bands, and gradually built a large following through their outraged sense of injustice, political awareness, and constant touring. Inspired by their wide knowledge of music styles, the band set out to create a musical hybrid that would transcend easy categorization and not be bound by limitation. Kniff 17 was one of the first bands to mix rock..n..roll and hardcore with elements of progressive voodoo metal.
Auch diesmal bietet der TUBEKLUB eine abenteuerliche Reise durch die wunderbaren elektronischen Musikwelten: Good Vibration, eines der umtriebigsten und meist gebuchten Soundsysteme Österreichs, gibt sich bei einem Reggae Dancehall Grime Dubstep Jungle Tek" Special im Tube die Ehre. Good Vibration machen ihrem Namen alle Ehre und liefern „positive sounds“ vom Feinsten. Zum Auftakt des Abends spielen Tingltangl ls. Rollin die das erste Mal in dieser Kombination zu sehen und zu hören sind. Seine von dunklen Sub Bässen getragene Interpretation des Dub Sounds gibt zu vorgerückter Stunde DJ Diaz zum Besten. Bei Monoloco vs. Yoko heisst es dann in alter Soundclash Manier „Salzburg gegen Linz“ und "Big Daddy" Audiopille rockt zum Abschluss das Haus mit Soundsystem Tekno aus Frankreich.
