About me:

I am an introspective extrovert with an interesting past and a promising future. I aspire to creativity, growth, passion and finding the best in myself as well as in those around me. I have varied interests and tastes and a (sometimes sophomoric) sense of humor. I value intelligence and honesty and dislike pretense and hypocrisy. I take myself and the world seriously but... I believe fun, twisted, odd and quirky have their place. I have chosen the "MySpace" moniker "Knight Errant NYC" because I believe I possess a questing and adventurous spirit, strength and honor - in spite of my shortcomings and I am willing to square off against the real and perceived dragons I face... as well as those of the people I care about.


So, what exactly (you may ask) is a Knight-Errant? A Knight-Errant is a figure of medieval romantic chivalric literature.
The Knight-Errant would typically wander the land in search of adventures (dragons, evil wizards, damsels in distress, etc...) to prove themselves as a Knight...
"the ideal of the Knight in Shining Armor".

Who I'd like to meet:

I am open-minded and interested in meeting a diverse mix of creative and interesting people who share similar goals, interests and direction and developing different kinds of friendships that are both long-distance and local to me. I am not interested in prissy and judgemental persons nor zealots and their closed-minded cohorts. If you don't value difference of opinion/perspective and/or believe that a person will burn in hell because they don't believe as you believe then we probably have nothing to talk about.


Also, I am a single adult male and interested in communicating with single adult women who would like to get to know me.

Interests

  • General

    I am interested in creative expression in all it's myriad forms and practice and aspire to an active lifestyle which includes regular exercise and social events. I enjoy films (quirky, thought-provoking indie's as well as mainstream) and the opportunities and versatility of the Internet. I write poetry and scripts and hope to someday make my own DV film. I am also making some of the poems I have written available on my blog. Feel free to read and comment and thank you for responding honestly.

    My tastes vary and I mostly listen to Alternative Rock and Hard/Industrial but I do also listen to a mix of Quirky, Soft/Squishy and Urban music when the mood dictates. I have no interest in World or Country music.

    I am an avid reader, open to being entertained, enlightened or inspired! I enjoy fiction (Stephen King, Dean Koontz, John Grisham, John Irving, etc...), non-fiction and particularly philosophy/spirituality (The Power Of Now, The Road Less Traveled, Seven Habits Of Highly Successful People, Books on Buddhism, etc...) and some classics. I like and collect quotes. I am into Camus's "The Myth of Sisyphus", a novel called "Liars and Thieves" and the concept of "46 and 2" right now.
