About me:
I have always tried to live by the axiom: "It is much more impressive, if people discover your good qualities without your help." But since you ask... I am honest and fiercely loyal, smart, considerate, trustworthy, affectionate and romantic. Not necessarily in that order. Oh, and don't forget witty [smirk]. I am a computer geek (programmer), though you probably couldn't tell by looking at me. Not your typical nerd-looking guy... maybe I need some thick black glasses with white tape on the bridge... Hmmm...
I am the Dad to 4 awesome boys, ages 21, 20, 15 and 14. They are turning out to be fine young men. I love them very much.
I have been a "homebody" most of my life but have recently started "getting out" more. I enjoy movies (on the big screen and on DVD). I am a big sci-fi fan (Star Trek, Heroes, Firefly, Battlestar Galactica, X-files, etc.), though I rarely have time to watch TV these days. I collect board games (and card games) and also like to play them. I used to be into computer games (my kids got me into it...okay not really) but not so much anymore (read: no time). I like almost all kinds of music unless there's cussing in the lyrics or it gives me a headache. I like to read and wish I had more time to do it. I've recently tried my hand at poetry and I think I like it. I may try to write more. I have been told by friends that I have a good sense of humor, and I have to admit... I love to make others laugh.
I am looking at reviving my interest in photography, tennis and shooting. Enjoy taking road trips every once in a while. I'd like, one day, to take a tour of the castles of Europe & the British Isles. I also would like to take a cruise to Alaska (not alone). Additionally, I'd like to see more of the U.S. There's a lot I haven't seen in my own country. I've put off taking vacations for too long, 2 weeks a year is not too much to ask, is it?
