Cut Chemist, DJ Yoda, Mr Scruff, Pendulum, The Chemical Brothers, Audio Bullys, cheesy old school stuff like N-Trance and S-Express, every cheesy remix I ever heard, every DJ I ever danced to. Also, The Bonzo Dog Doo Dah Band, They Might Be Giants, Ween, Half Man Half Biscuit etc, for their consumate lack of normalness.

I am a live DJ, recently moved to Brighton. All the sounds you hear in my set are played on samplers (usually I bring along two) - there's no sequencers or anything, which keeps it less predictable. I'm trying to strike a balance between technical skill and originality in blah blah blah blah blah blah blah. I want it to be good but also funny - dance music that takes the piss out of dance music, I guess. I make nice and simple 4-to-the-floor beats, stick my very own homemade bass over the top, and also sample ('nick') things from people who can actually play real instruments. I put the sounds on my samplers at the Funstation Laboratory - my personal intstitute of beat research (cunningly disguised as a bedroom) - then throw them all together live for people to dance to. I like playing free parties, house parties and clubs.
It's a place for bands to explain how they book shows. Comes along with news on web technologies, recording gizmos as well as music industry trends and anecdotes.

The last Slipped Disco and Noise of Art event of 2007 (we think) takes over the Borderline for a Christmas knees up. There’s a host of things going on, but most of all it’s a chance for all those who’ve taken part in the parties this year to jump around on the dancefloor and generally have a riot. To help all along the way there’ll be DJ sets and contributions from Ben Osborne, Punx Soundcheck, Andrew Friendly (Milke DJ Set), Knight of the Nine Times Table, Les Hommes Du Train, Punkvert, Adam Barry (Devil Fish), Big Man Dom (Pick ‘n’ Mix) and plenty more to be announced, some live electronic acts, some dancing and a bar serving drinks…
