As rap music continues to grow and is tagged the language of urban America, breakthrough artist Knine has embraced the scene with his positive form of lyrical anecdotes. For my last project I wasnt sure what subjects were taboo, he explains. Now Im confident in who I am. This album is my most complete project because it reveals my whole life from beginning to end.
Indeed, Born Again discloses the profound thoughts and feelings of a man who recognized his need for a fresh start, a new walk, a new talk, new surroundingsall of which he found through his faith. I chose to include my [14-month old] son, Kamron, on the album cover to serve as a representation of my own spiritual reincarnation. Sometimes we have to become like babies. Ive had to learn a whole new languagea whole new way of life.
While the artist was introduced to Christian principles at an early age, the immediate satisfaction of fast-paced living caused him to stray away from God. During this time he recognized his talent for rap, but never gained the focus to develop his skill. In July 1999, following a near-death experience, he surrendered to Gods call.
Today the young Milwaukee, WI native has chosen to hone and utilize his gift in a manner that glorifies God. Instead of praising the drugs and crime that he once participated in, hes shifted his subject matter to reveal the consequences of such choices.
Beyond his achievements as a solo rap artist, he is co-owner of Regardless Entertainment Group, a record label introduced in April 2004 that carries forth his desire to relay positive messages. As his career continues to flourish, Knine asserts that the label will serve as a haven for people to make music. I want people to be able to make music from the heart. If I can make a change that way, others can as well. And theres no disputing that Knines music is doing just that, changing the face of the rap world.

I heard that track you have of your son (on the "Robots Have Feelings Too" mixtape) . I like how he breaking in that new style. He "rap mumblin," that's different. He got talent, though. It's cool how he on point with the beat. He got the gift, he's gonna become a "Young Knine" in no time.
I also heard tracks 14 and 19. Man... all I can say is, AAAmen. God definately blessed you with a gift on that mic. And gave you the proper wisdom, as well. I hear your heart, B. God will continue to use you and get you where you need to be. Stay humble.
