While my editing skills are still a bit outdated (I have yet to learn the Avid, my skills were developed on 70s era analog videotape equipment), I do have a background in film/TV direction and editing
Um, I'm a weird 28-year-old who's interests run the gamut (see the lists of movies, music and books :) I'm a geek, a Trekkie, a nerd, you name it. I currently work in retail but it's not me, I know that, so I'm looking for a library job (help!? please!?) When I'm not working I'm either on the computer, watching TV while crafting, reading a book, or shopping. My ex-boyfriend got me hooked on racing, though since things ended with him my racing interest has faded...though I still drive like a race car driver on the highway (shhh!)
My latest obsession is Doctor Who, Ten and Four are my guys ;) Mostly Ten...David Tennant is Scottish after all and those who know me well enough know my innate weakness for all things Scottish! Hence why I enjoy Torchwood so much (mmmmm John Barrowman...shame he's gay, or I'd be all over him...okay I admit it, gay or not if I met him I'd be glomping him anyway!)
I've also been slowly exploring the vast world of anime and manga. Yes, I attend an anime convention and THEN get hooked on anime (hey, happened with the Beatles, I didn't become a fan until I attended Beatlefest). I haven't had the time to really watch/read a lot of series yet but so far the ones I've really gotten hooked on for the most part either have a paranormal or Alternate Universe (AU) aspect, or are part of the Magical Girl genre. That includes so far: Bleach (paranormal), Ghost Hunt (paranormal, anxiously awaiting the anime DVD coming out this fall), Claymore (paranormal), Gintama (AU), Tsubasa Chronicles (AU), Sailor Moon (magical girl), Cardcaptor Sakura (magical girl), Revolutionary Girl Utena (okay...that one is an exception), Fullmetal Alchemist (some paranormal).
My latest hobby is cosplay, I've joined Cosplay.com and Cosplay Lab, and Cosspace. My first costume that I made from scratch is a Dani Phantom costume. I debuted it at Anime Central 2007, my very first anime convention! Yay! Now I've begun researching my next costume, Rukia Kuchiki from Bleach for Acen08.
I decided to take all my many quizzes off here, I'm going to make a webpage specifically for them because they're just multiplying! :D I need to start working on reviving my website anyway. Anyone have suggestions for inexpensive web hosting with a decent amount of space? (I have thousands of screencaptures that will be part of the website, so I'll need lots of space -- right now there's about 3 GB worth on my hard drive)
Who I'd like to meet:
Right now I would give ANYTHING to meet John Barrowman (of Torchwood and Doctor Who fame), he is such an amazing actor and he's Scottish and he's gorgeous and he can sing and I cannot stop drooling over him!!! Also I'd love to sit down and talk to Russell T. Davies, the genius behind Doctor Who's revival and Torchwood, because he is so amazing, he's done such a mind-blowing great job on both shows, he seems like someone I'd get along with....and yes I would probably beg him for a job. I never thought I would want to leave Chicagoland...but if the BBC called up and offered me a job working on those two shows....well I'd be on the first plane to Cardiff! :D I'd also love to meet the rest of the Torchwood cast, they're all so talented and amazing! Especially Gareth David-Lloyd...I would so end up glomping him, he's SOOOOO gorgeous!! *drool*
~ * ~
Okay, this may sound crazy, but I'd love to meet Jason Earles from Hannah Montana. I think he is totally cute, he's got a cute accent, and hey, according to some websites he's actually older than me (although some say he's younger but only by 5 years :D ) I'd also love to meet Ciro Nieli, creator of Super Robot Monkey Team Hyperforce Go!, because he seems like a very talented man, and there's lots of Star Wars and classic videogame references in the show so we'd probably have something in common :D I'd also just LOVE to spend some time with Danica Patrick. She is one awesome woman, on and off the track.
I'd also love to meet some of my favorite voice actors, especially: Kevin Michael Richardson (Antauri on SRMT, Gantu on Lilo & Stitch, he's in Knights of Prosperity and LOTS more), Kari Wahlgren (Nova on SRMT), Tom Kenny (Gibson on SRMT, best known for SpongeBob .., he's done a LOT of voices tho!), Clancy Brown (Otto on SRMT, the Kurgan in Highlander, Greg Cipes (Chiro on SRMT, Beast Boy on Teen Titans), Grey Delise (Sam on Danny Phantom), David Kaufman (Danny on Danny Phantom), and Rob Paulsen (Jack Fenton & the Box Ghost on Danny Phantom and Steelbeak on Darkwing Duck). Phew! :D
I've already met Walter Koenig (Chekov of Star Trek), John Lodge of the Moody Blues (sexy deep voice that man has....oooooo), both Micky Dolenz and Peter Tork of the Monkees, Michael Waltrip and Kyle Petty from NASCAR. :)
I can't wait to meet Kari Wahlgren, voice actress who, among many other characters, voices Nova in Super Robot Monkey Team Hyperforce Go! at Anime Central in May! EDIT: She was SOOOOOO unbelievably nice and sweet and wonderful!
Captain Jacqueline Harkness's Friend Space (Top 24)
Hey Hey Captain... That's awsome to hear you've become a captain. Haven't been on MYSPACE too often but I just wanted to say hi and glad to hear or see things are going well for you :)
