Traditional musical cocktail of simple samples and vocals looking like wrinkled faces has almost crossed the line of mass consumption. It has become widespread. While someone lets the music run through a lot of ramifications, and thereby he first or last is entrapped by confined space, others hurry up to combine, stir, salt and serve to consume. One may choke, one may swallow the stone. It happens in various ways. Trip-hop, which gravitates towards the center of the excitation, synthetical and medicinal psychedelic, sounds of the orchestra from the upper floor and sickly beat were somehow united together to become enigmatical. This is the way the project Knob feat. Seine presents itself. The project Knob feat. Seine is ideal Present Perfect. We use the Present Perfect to talk about a result of something in the past that still is obvious. The project has now come to an end, but songs created during a year’s cooperation of Knob (home “Tol”) and Seine (ex-home “Etwas Unders”) haven’t become distraught and haven’t lost its interconnection with the actual state of affairs. The project brought them together with their sounds on the basis of their willingness that has no link with their main creative work. At the beginning of the project they had no conception. But this took place only at the beginning, and inactivity disappeared at once when it became clear what a powerful spring runs through these arteries. They are built by cell of confusion, euphoria, haemoglobin, 120 beats in a minute. There are six arteries in this body. Knob and Seine never met head-on. Woman’s Ukrainian lyrics and voice rests upon man’s sensitive perception, they don’t think just the same, but wholly organic sounding is got. This may seem surprising if one judges by stereotypes of the electronic music. Listeners won’t feel any sharp corners. Seine plays the violin, her heart-rending and irrepressible singing turns out to be stronger than any technical interference. It would do for the opera of new generation: with live orchestra, with uninterrupted energy of polyphony, which comes from the back of the fervent prima, on the stage, with only one conductor and spectators who would receive papers with Chinese hieroglyphs instead of libretto. The project is opened, painted, done. Actually it was tireless mood, and its authors didn’t become adherents of any style, they tied together a lot of musical tastes, compatible and incompatible, albumens and carbohydrates, yin and yang, anxiety and conciliation. Knob and Seine won’t produce any cells of sound together, but created arteries live on their own and are all-sufficient themselves. They stood pat.
