Welcome to the OFFICIAL MySpace page of Birmingham rock band KNOCKOUT NED!
We formed in 2005 when we decided that being in a band would be better then talking about being in a band. We started off playing covers of Green Day and Black Sabbath, and quickly drew these inspirations in to our own brand of music. With a love of all different rock bands, we make what we believe to be exciting and loud music. Come along to our next gig and experience it for yourself.
We have had many kind words said about our performances over the three years we've been a band, and we will continue to write better music. The growth of the band can be heard most evidently in the brilliant recording of 'Lost in the City', one of the most recent tracks we have written. We have continued our writing to create the live anthem 'I'm a Name, I'm a Face, I'm a Statistic'. These are the tracks we write and play.
MONOCHROME MUSEUM - 'The singer was a chaotic maelstrom... as long as they were on the stage, Knockout Ned made sure that EVERYONE had a good time.'
ROCKSOUND - 'Blitzoid guitar riffs egged on by vocal wells, sheer live energy to punch the air to. The spirit of the rock rampage is alive and active'
SURFACE - '...sharp riffs, clever lyrics and infectious beat... ...raw, energetic Punk-Rock packed neatly into well-written three-to-four-minute bundles and performed with talent and gusto... Sean spits his angry lyrics with equal parts venom and apathy... They are definitely worth checking out.'

Hello! Our second single ‘Bill Hicks’ is now available for pre-order on download, 7" and CD, and it's currently #1 on the play. com download pre-order chart.
We are self-managed, self-published, and self-released on our own record label and our debut single "Trauma Town" entered at #9 in the Official UK Indie charts. We're hoping to make this one go even bigger -
A currently shite MySpace page for Midlands bands only.
The point is to use this page to advertise your gigs, wears and to keep in touch with other likeminded bands in the area without feeling like a complete arse for filling fan pages with junk mail. You know who you are!.
Promotions companies may also join so that if they're looking for bands to play a venue in the Midlands, all they have to do is visit this page for local bands to choose from and they have a full spectrum of sounds.
So if you're a new, up and coming talent in the midlands, whether you're a generic Indie band or Cock Rock band get your name down on the list!!!!!
Thanks for the add & we wish you a rockin' 2009! :) If you have a second, please click HERE and vote for ENGO. We would really appreciate it, thanks a lot!
Greetings from sunny Los Angeles fellas. We just wanted to wish our best and only Brummie friends a Happy Christmas (even though over here we say Merry Christmas). We hope you get lots of nice toys and new socks and underwear. Cheers.
We do gigs in Birmingham at the moment. I've just put up a little bulletin/blog with some information which might interest you guys:) We will be having a podcast starting soon, so if you want to get featured on it drop us a message, but if you go read our bulletin/blog you can see some of the stuff we're going to be doing :D
