| General | I am a movie fanatic- I collect DVDs, I go to the movies at least weekly, and I am very knowledgeable about most movies made since 1973. I'm working on my classic movie knowledge.
Computers and the Internet play a large part in my life, both at home and at work. I build PCs from components, troubleshoot problems, and spend probably way too much time online. Don't we all? :)
I love music. I almost always have to have *something* on music wise. The music of the 80's was the all time best, with the 60's coming a close second. I also listen to instrumental movie scores and comedy music.
I love to travel and see new places/things. I don't do it nearly enough - heck, enough travel would probably be non-stop travel. In my life I've been to Russia, Finland and Germany for a few hours, Just over the border into Ontario Canada, and all the way up and down the east coast of the US. My big desires are Ireland, Australia, and Alaska.
I love dogs. I have two of my own, and I want more.

A few of my favorite artists are Billy Joel, Metallica, The Doors, The Beatles, and Weird Al Yankovic. | | Movies | My favorite genres are SciFi/Fantasy, Action/Adventure, and Comedy, but I'm also a sucker for a really good drama.
A few specific favorites are Star Wars, Indiana Jones, anything by Steven Spielberg, Ghostbusters, Real Genius, Die Hard, and Starship Troopers. | | Television | I have a few shows I never miss: Heroes, Survivor, CSI, Lost, Stargate SG-1 and Atlantis, and the new Battlestar Galactica.
I'll catch the occasional episode of The Simpsons, Family Guy, and South Park.
I recently got into Buffy the Vampire Slayer and Angel via repeats.
Classic shows that I still love are Friends, Firefly, Dark Shadows, Futurama, The X-Files, Red Dwarf, and Dead Like Me | | Books | Haven't really read in ages, but were I to sit down to it again it'd be Stephen King, Tom Clancy, most Sci-Fi, some fantasy.
I've got the second Harry Potter book waiting for me to take the time to read it - I might have them all finished by the time the 7th movie comes out. | | Heroes | RIP Meredith Ann Warner: September 15, 1995. You are the wind beneath my wings. |

About me:
I have a mostly useless BA in Russian (yes I sorta speak Russian, but not very well anymore). For 6 years I worked as a PC-based POS support person for a small private company in Syracuse, but now I've moved up and I'm working for Verizon as a tech support person for their FiOS service.
I got married on May 19, 1995, and we had a daughter on August 18, 1995. Unfortunately my wife died on September 15, a month after our daughter was born.
I remarried on October 12, 1998 and had a son born 10 weeks premature February 5, 1999.
Surprise surprise, on St. Patty's Day 2007 we found out we were going to have another child, and on May 25th our new daughter Dawn Marie was born, 6 weeks premature.
I own a house in Nedrow now where my family and I have lived since December 2001. We have 2 dogs and no cats.
