Welcome to this page! ATTENTION MUSICIANS! Bring or mail 2 of your CDs to me and I will sell them in the store I manage! Hi, I'm Missi, and I am pleased to announce the opening of the Relix Variety Store, featuring hand-crafted, locally-produced goods, music and art, retro clothing, historic architectural salvage, and vintage 1920's to 1970's home furnishings and accessories. Relix is a community-based consignment business striving to support local artists and businesses in order to offer unique items for a good sum. We are in the historic White Store building in Happy Holler, across from Time Warp Tea Room, 1208 N Central Street, conveniently located between Woodland and Baxter Avenues. If you make something fun or cool, creative or useful, we would love to help market your wares. Or maybe you have some else's treasures waiting to be a jingle in your pocket, bring 'em to us! As the consignment manager, I sometimes has to leave the building in order to conduct business on behalf of the store, so consignments are taken by appointment only. If you wish to consign with us, call me at 865-441-5819. Come in and shop during these hours : Thursday and Friday 11-7:00 and Saturday 10-8:00 INSTRUCTIONS: If you want to sell your CD in the RELIX store, bring or mail 2 CDs to me. Mark one "store copy-not for sale," that one will go into the listening station. Mark your price on the other CD and check with me periodically to see if the CD sold. When the CD sells, you can bring or mail 5 more. When those sell, you can bring or mail 10 more, etc... The artist/consigner's percentage is 75%. The shop's percent is 25%. The Knoxville Songwriters Association was founded by Sara Williams in 1983 to bring together aspiring songwriters in the Knoxville, TN area and has operated continuously since that date. The Association meets on Tuesday night at the Fountain City Library, in Fountain City, a suburb of Knoxville, from 6:30 until 8:00 p.m. during the summer months and from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. during the winter months. The annual membership fee is $30 per year. The first 2 visits are FREE and you can bring one song each visit for critique by the Association members that are at the meeting. You don't have to aspire to be a "top-40" hit-songwriter in order to benefit from the meetings. All songwriters, male or female, of all genres are welcome, including folk, rock, country, house, ambient, easylistening, pop, comedy, rap & R&B. Our main purpose is to help one another with the craft of song writing by providing constructive criticism through thoughtful analysis of ORIGINAL songs presented. You may present songs with ORIGINAL tunes and/or lyrics by live performance, such as singing along with a guitar,or playing a pre-recorded cassette, or CD. You may also present LYRICS ONLY if you do not sing or play an instrument. It is not mandatory that you present songs when you attend meetings, however, if you bring a song for critique please bring 18 or so copies of the lyric sheet so members can write down their comments. .. Missi sang "STAR" by "NAZARETH," for the NAZARETH TRIBUTE ALBUM. The release date of the NAZARETH Tribute ALbum "RUBY" is unknown. Missi was accompanied by WADE HILL and TERRY PHILLIPS in this TV appearance.
