Collectively the members of Knucklehead have performed for hundreds of thousands of people from coast to coast, and shared stages with such artists as Hank Williams Jr., The Outlaws, Charlie Daniels, Foghat, Roy Buchanon, Molly Hatchet, David Allen Coe, to name a few. Knucklehead was formed by Guitarist Rob Keller and Bassist Bill Weigand after years of working the club scene in different bands and saying "someday we will play together". Then in March, 2006 the opportunity was there for a new project to be formed. Wasting no time, Rob and Bill gathered together a buch of seasoned musician friends to form what is now known as KNUCKLEHEAD.
Named after the classic Harley Davidson motor and secondly describing our demented mentality!! Knucklehead features a 3 guitar attack from Rob, 'Slim' Jim Varhola & Ken Harnish, with the backbone provided by Three Car Garage alumni Bill on bass & Eric Storer on drums, and fronted by the charismatic singing of Rich Somales. In April 2006 Knucklehead took life and started rockin' the clubs and concert stages. Building a loyal fan base in the Pittsburgh area with a tight, energetic, live show that takes you from the subtle poetry of Bob Dylan and Crosby, Stills and Nash, through some funky blues, to a balls out Skynyrd type guitar jam. Constantly adding new tunes to the bands ever-growing song list, keeps the show fresh and our fans coming back for more; all while writing, recording, and creating our own style of Southern Rock & Blues.C'mon out and see a show!! Grab a beer and hit the dance floor!!
