Arising from the mind of a young up and coming metal frontman, Knyghtsbane is an idea that is very slowly but surely becoming a reality for Atlanta local, 'Patrick Hoyt' Parris. Knyghtsbane's first incarnation was conceived in the summer of 2007 with the desire to create definitive and solid Dynamic Metal Music in Atlanta's struggling metal scene that has long been over saturated with cookie-cutter death metal and hardcore bands.
However, with Patrick returning to focus on his frontman duties full-time for Eclipsed By Sanity and soon after his departure from Theocracy, the first incarnation featuring musicians Wayne Joyner, BJ McKay, and Greg Mims was interrupted and that portion of the Knyghtsbane line-up moved to guitarist Wayne Joyner's previous solo project, Shadowmatter (which can be found on myspace.)
After working with Eclipsed By Sanity as their frontman/lyricist and having an amicable departure after two strong years, Patrick has once again decided to awaken the beast and unleash Knyghtsbane. While seeking out a new line-up for this endeavor, Patrick has been extremely fortunate to have found AIM graduate 7 & 8 string guitarist, David Prince (ex-Halcyon Way) and has high hopes in finding other musicians that will take this project to the next level.
With true progressive, melodic, power metal bands shining through the monotony of today's Local Metal scene, Knyghtsbane hopes to provide a unique breed of sound with a few guest appearances from the Local, Regional, and even International Metal scene.
Knyghtsbane welcomes you along this journey in experiencing one of the most musically dynamic endeavors of today's music scene.
Knyghtsbane is:
Dynamic
Characterized by continuous change, activity, or progress: Marked by intensity and vigor; forceful.
Metal
aggressive and heavily amplified music
