Koalitio has decided to call it quits. After realizing that ambitions and visions didn't meet anymore in a required way, the members have went their separate ways towards new musical adventures. We'd like to thank everyone who has supported us during the band's existence. From all of us, to all of you, thanks and bye bye!
Koalitio was formed in the beginning of 2007 when the vocalist T. Niemi and the guitarist H. Sipilä started toying with an idea of a mutual band where they could express their own musical ideas and practice the joy of playing live. The all-mighty internet provided means for the M. Romppainen to come in contact with the newfound band and to become the bass player. Shortly after this the unsuspecting K. Ahlfors was lured in and took over the drums. Koalitio was formed.
After five months of rehearsing and songwriting the band headed to studio to record their first demo titled Valurautaiskelmä. After the studio they set their blue and innocent eyes to the future filled with gigs, promotion and new songs.
The idea of a hard rock/metal group with finnish lyrics isn't the most original one (in Finland, that is) but due to the diverse musical backgrounds of it's members, Koalitio likes to push the envelope when it comes to musical styles. Powerful guitar riffs merge with melodies, distinctive bass-lines, T. Niemi's aggressive voice and a healthy amount of dark humour to provide a musical exprience of an unique character.
