We like to do activities with our guests. At night, we throw good movies on the DVD player or watch cable. We play cards, or jenga, or dominoes. Ali'i Drive where lots of restaurants, shops, and bars are is only 3 blocks from here...an easy walk if you want some nightlife.
Music
We like to play roots reggae here in the office....seems like everybody is cool with that, so if you have some rasta riddims to turn us on to, bring it on!
Movies
We have a small library of DVDs for you to enjoy while you are here...a little bit of everything!
Television
How about the big screen in our common area??? Yeah Baby!!!
Books
We have a "give one- take one" library of paperbacks in different spots on our property. Help yourself!

About me: We are a small hostel in Kailua Kona, on the Big Island of Hawaii. Since new management took over in June 2006, we have aimed to provide the most comfortable, safe, amenitie-laden hostel experience available in this time zone! From the roots reggae that plays softly in the office, the fishpond/waterfall, to the awesome rope hammock on the large sundeck, to the dartboard, bean bag toss, and picnic table out back, we are well on our way.
Who I'd like to meet: Our purpose is to provide an inexpensive lodging alternative for twenty- and thirty- somethings from around the world, so that they can experience the splendor of this great island. We are a barefoot property, and no drugs or alcohol are allowed on the property. Because we are small, we try to hold to the original purpose and definition of a hostel, to only travelers are welcome, and we prefer younger travelers, because thats what we are! Unfortunately, hostels in Hawaii are plagued by drifters who are not travelers who bring along all their bad habits, substance abuse problems, drama, and untidiness....the other plague is retirees from the mainland who decide that they are more deserving of an inexpensive place to stay while they decide which half-million dollar house to spend their money on than a backpacking college-age kid on a student budget....well, here's the scoop: NOT AT OUR PLACE!
