   About K.O.E.

Now hear this! Git yo hands on the newest funk just released, Language Like No Other!!

K.O.E.: Language Like No Other

Ahh yes, pick up some classic K.O.E. jamms with Premium Original:

K.O.E.: Premium Original

And if you are local, our CD can be purchased at Soundgarden in Fells Point.

Here's our scoop:

The world of funk embraces its influences and always will. Welcome funks most engaging inductee K.O.E. Is it the rhythmatic textured groove spawning from the guitar, the bombastic bass, and percussion that set K.O.E. apart from the rest? The eclectic, high-energy infusion of funk, hip-hop, rock and reggae is where the Evolution currently presides. The very different, musical influences of each band member is what creates its dance-addictive appeal and each live show is full of relentless energy, vivid stage presence, and all out commitment. K.O.E.s performances include packed houses at The Recher Theatre (Towson, MD), The Funk Box (Baltimore, MD), The Grape Street Pub (Philadelphia, PA), The Hard Rock Caf in Baltimores Inner Harbor, and Staccato (Washington D.C.). They have supported national touring acts such as NRBQ, Maktub, Freekbass, Breaking Benjamin, The F-Ups, Bio Ritmo, Sev, Fighting Gravity, and Arcane. K.O.E. has also been broadcasted live and on-air. These include multiple performances at 103.1 WRNR radio (Annapolis, MD) and WMUC 88.1 (College Park, MD). Their music has been in rotation on WRNR radio, 98 Rock 97.9 WIYY (Baltimore, MD), and was chosen by WHFS 99.1 radio to be featured on their Best of Local Music, Washington D.C. compilation CD in 2004 with Brooklyn Castle from their album Premium Original released in 2003. In the summer of 2004, K.O.E. finished as a national finalist in A Shot at the Cabo Wabo, a battle of the bands competing K.O.E. against hundreds of other local talent across the country. With this achievement, they received sponsorship from Cabo Wabo Tequila, Guitar.com, Crate Amps, Hard Rock Caf, Oasis CDs, Gibson guitars, Sonicbids.com, and Nokia telephones. K.O.E. has also received many positive regional reviews and press, including a note-worthy, live performance review from Hall of Fame producer Robert Metzger. Since 1999, K.O.E. has been surprising new faces and continues to impress familiar ones. They have released 2 full-length albums: -Premium Original released Fall 2003 -NO2 released Fall 1999 Both albums produced by Emmy-award winner and current drummer for national recording artist, Jimmys Chicken Shack, Jerome Maffeo. K.O.E. has sold over 2,000 albums and looks to start on their 3rd full-length album in February 2006.

We are on the lookout for local and national original bands. Nice vibe, great place to play. Yes, we would like you to sell some tickets if your local<<<< and Original but loose about it. Out of town bands are not required to sell tix but do not get any guarantees If your interested please fill in below. I am Booking for the year and I am looking mainly for reggae, rock, blues, hip hop, neo soul, & Funk BANDS. Chill bands are always welcome. Also I am looking for happy hour acts in the same vain as well as soloists piano, acoustic guitar etc..

May Mayhem!

Last month's semifinal game between Scare Force One and the Cherry Blossom Bombshells came down to a nail-biting double overtime, and the Bombshells are trying to carry that momentum to vanquish the fierce DC DemonCats, who haven't lost a game since October. This exciting season championship matchup will be the last DC Rollergirls home game until the fall, so don't miss out!

In addition, fans can watch an expo matchup between Scare Force One and the River City Rollergirls of Richmond, VA, and check out Jason Leffler's #38 NASCAR showcar. Plus, in honor of Mother's Day, moms will get a gift at the door!

It's tailgating season, so come early to Stadium/Armory Lot 3 and get a head start on the fun! The lot opens at 3 p.m.

Tickets are available in advance through Ticketmaster (service charge applies), at the RFK Stadium box office and at the door on bout day.
