Pastor Jones has been characterized as a Pastor's Pastor. His words of wisdom are often accented with his own personal testimony of the downward spiral his life was taking before accepting God's of unconditional love and forgiveness through a relationship with Jesus Christ. Pastor Jones's teaching of the scriptures extends worldwide through weekly radio broadcasts on WTPS 1080-AM, WMBM 1490-AM, WEXY 1520-AM and TWR 800-AM (Trans World Radio). Intimately involved in the community, Pastor Jones serves on several boards including the Re-Entry Program, MAD DAD's of Broward and Jericho Project. Pastos Jones also serves as the President of the Ministerial Alliance of South Broward and Presedent and founder of the P.R.E.S.S. (Pastors' Recreational Educational and Strategy Sharing) Coalition.

A devoted and loving husband, Pastor Jones has been married to the former Bloneva Ghallagher, a veteran school educator, for more than 29 years. The two has three sons, Derrick (Nicole), Kaniel and Shervin. They also are the proud grandparents of two grandsons, Derrick, Jr. and Cyrus.
