The Kokua Hawai'i Foundation is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization that supports environmental education in the schools and communities of Hawai'i. Our mission is to provide students with experiences that will enhance their appreciation for and understanding of their environment so they will be lifelong stewards of the earth. SURFRIDER FOUNDATION LAUNCHES RISE ABOVE PLASTICS CAMPAIGN AND HOSTS A BEACH CLEANUP WITH ENVIRONMENTAL PARTNERS ON SUNDAY, 12/7/08 (9am-11am)
Honolulu, Oahu (Dec. 7, 2008) On Sun. morning, 12/7, the Surfrider Foundation Oahu Chapter will launch its Rise Above Plastics Campaign and host a beach cleanup with several other local environmental groups at Ala Moana Park, right across from the Magic Island parking lot, from 9:00-11:00am.
