Kolya Ford began to play in 1999. His first sets took place on the radio station “Fil”. At that time he played chiefly such musical styles/genres as drum..n..bass and acid jazz.
2001 year brought changes to dj’s bias towards musical style: it was an alteration to the straight rhythm, progressive.
Literally straight away he becomes a denizen/resident and co-organizer of “A hard Monday” parties at “Studio21” club.
From 2001 Kolya Ford took part in annual festival “KaZantip”.
2002 – it was again a style changing, but this time towards electro sound.
From September 2002 to April 2004 he was an art director of “Factura” club, at that time he became the organizer and the resident of Thursday parties "Electro.Luv.Day", having a great success among the most sophisticated audience and music-lovers of electro style.
In summer 2005 Kolya Ford was the stage manager of “Cifrograd” dance floor. (KaZantip republic). In the autumn of the same year becomes the resident of a label "Robica" and, together with Raymond Obouvie, the organizer of parties Minimalove.
He is a participant of annual festivals "I Love Techno*UA", “Electro Autumn”, "Kyiv Techno Fest".
During his career Kolford played almost in all Odessa clubs, he was on tour round the country. He visited and played in Moscow (Gorod, Mix, Ogurec, Majorelle, Red Hall), Kazan (Arena), Rostov-on-Don (Cuba Libre, Embargo), Novosibirsk (preparty Kazantip), Kishinev (Soho).
And played with some foreign guests, Pascal FEOS (Frankfurt, DE), Tomcraft (Munich,DE), Hardy Hard (Berlin, DE), Tok Tok (Berlin, DE), Stephan Bodzin (Bremen, DE), Oliver Huntemann (Bremen, DE), Dr. Motte (Berlin, DE), Robert Babicz aka Rob Acid (Cologne, DE), Doorkeeper (Berlin, DE), Holgi Star (Berlin, DE), Tigerskin aka Dub Tailor (Berlin, DE), Till von Sein (Berlin, DE), David Keno (Berin, DE), James Flavour (Berlin, DE), Tom Clark (Berlin, DE), Jeff Bennett (Malmoe, SWE), Phil Stumpf (Paris, FRA), Crispin Dior (London, UK), Tim Faberge (London, UK).
