Having played over 200 gigs across the length and breadth of the UK, in the spring of 2008 KOLO embarked on a three month American tour, re-locating to Nashville, Tennessee.
From Nashville, KOLO travelled around the USA gigging relentlessly all the way from New York right down to the Mississipi Gulf Coast. KOLO also began recording their new demo at Rivergate Studio, co-produced by Sean Gasaway, and 3 Doors Down guirtarist Chris Henderson.
KOLO were then personally invited by Chris Henderson to support 3 Doors Down across the UK leg of their world tour, playing sell-out shows at IndigO2 at the O2 in London, Glasgow Carling Academy, Bristol Carling Academy and Manchester Academy! To co-incide with this tour, KOLO released a limited edition 3 track CD, 'Vikings EP', and sold over 800 copies in just 4 gigs on the tour!
Drawing influences from a wide range of their favourite artists (from The Jam to the incredible Beverley Craven), KOLO manage to incorpate operatic vocals, snappy 2 minute pop songs, attempted murder ballads, tramp-rock and viking inspired indie-pop within their live set.
"KOLO are one of the most exciting bands to have come out of the South West in a long time. Having seen them live in the UK and the States, I can tell you its a wholehearted excellent show full of great music. I really hope that the Three Doors Down tour is the breakthrough, they really deserve success."Vic Morgan, BBC
"Musically and lyrically, they stand out. The songs, prickly yet anthemic, demonstrate a keen ear for tune as well as experimentation. There are electronic, 1980s-informed flourishes and even the odd operatic vocal..."
Graeme Demianyk, Western Morning News
"A power pop trio from Exeter, KOLO rattled through a fantastic set of overwrought tunage and won us over with their operatic 80s vocals, a tribute to Eurythmics and their twatting around with a synthesiser. A SYNTHESISER! Yes, they were very good indeed."

"Even if you try, you will not be able to wear out KOLO's music, their perky indie-pop is refreshingly unique in both its sound and delivery, with memorable lyrics and addictive melodies.."
