The sacrilege is awesome, and so is the supreme remix production of Parisian producer Kolt13. Tigersapien’s vocals are admittedly on the emo-pop tip with a hint of whine (in the best of ways, like, say, The Faint), but I love the cockiness of it all, and I’ll tell you what, my lady friends do too!
... Tigersapien, just dropped us word that there are two new slamming remixes ... The treatments, both done by Parisian Kolt13, are buzzworthy bangers full of smooth, digital-bit, pitch-bending shockers, and both are available on iTunes ... Get in on this stuff right now as both are guaranteed dancefloor standards.
Unknown to most of us before his high-energy Tigersapien and Kickdrums remixes appeared on Missing Toof and elsewhere a few of weeks ago, the Parisian Kolt13 is emerging as a noticeably sharp producer. His Taken Away remix is a clever combination of hard, glitchy base and laidback vocals with the occasional bout of relentless choppiness, while his remix of Alabama’s Girl and a Gun is like heartsrevolution gone kind of hip-hop.
