mom is SO strong! and yes, "she's super cool, yea?!" (what an understatement!) she misses you. hope you were with us this weekend. i know you were. "kanikapila in the old hawaiian way...." 143, love.
I couldn't make it home to see you mostly because I couldn't bring myself to say goodbye, it just hurts too much. Remember the time you taught me and Jonas how to make bombs with firecrackers at the Kapahulu house on New Years eve? (I think I was 12 then). And when we turned 21 it was all about the W. It was the best of both worlds, Jo and I got to party like rock stars and we still got to be with family. You always found us before midnight for a shot and to pass the phone around telling the ohana "Happy New Year".
The last time we spent together was at my going away party. Kanikapila into the morning hours. Me ke aloha ku'u home o Punchbowl...and here I am with nothing but memories. I love you komo and miss you more than words can ever describe. So until we meet again, keep smiling down on us up there with grams, gramps, and uncle Kaui.
Rest In Peace Komo ~ you will be missed. I didn't make it to your memorial, but I'm sure it was a beautiful celebration of your life here with your family and friends. God bless you and keep you safe. My heart goe's out to you and your family. Your memory will live on within all of us...Love you Bro! Aloha~
Komo, I'm sorry I can't make it to your funeral... In this life you have been the most influential person to me. I will always remember the good times we had, cause they were the best times in my life. I know you're in a better place now, until we meet again rest in peace my brother.
Komo will truly be missed, I am so thankful for having known such a wonderful person who has given me many thoughts of how great and kind someone can be. My deepest condolenses to his family and his loved ones, and all those who have known him and miss him. Stay strong and love always.
Komo, Just wanted to share the time we were cruising in Waikiki in Michael Tilly's lifted jeep. You and Joe Kane were in the back and we just left my sister's hotel party at Banyan when we flew it on the Ala Wai and flipped the jeep and was sliding sidewards forever. We got out and laughed our asses off. Drunk bastards. Aloha my friend.
