Komposti Sound, the number 1 and hardest working reggae sound system in Finland, was formed in Helsinki in 2001. Consisting of five members, the sound plays regular all over Finland as well as having played in Sweden, Denmark, Estonia, Norway, Czech Republic, Germany, Switzerland, Belgium, France, Russia and China. Komposti have their regular radio show every monday 2000-2200 Finnish Time on Radio Helsinki, 88,6 MHz (also broadcast live on Radio Helsinki website). We strive to feature the latest - and the best - of Jamaican dancehall reggae as well as juggle some of our favorite foundation selection every week.

We are the current Finnish soundclash champions 2007, holding the trophy for the third time after having won in 2004 in the first Finnish clashes, being a close second to MPV in 2005 and winning again 2006.

Komposti has organised shows, played with and / or warmed up shows for nuff international artistes and sounds including Baby Cham, Pinchers, Spice, Pressure, Welton Irie, Bitty McLean, Jah Mason, Perfect, David Rodigan, Chuck Fenda, Sizzla, King Kong, Cornell Campbell, Million Stylez, Ray Darwin, Lone Ranger, Luciano, Prezident Brown, General Levy, Burning Spear, Top Cat, Lee Perry, Alborosie, Beres Hammond, U Brown, Tikiman, TOK, Zion Train (UK), LP Int'l (USA), Mighty Crown (JAP) Supersonic (GER), Gramigna (ITA), Soul Stereo (FRA), Channel One (UK), Heartical (FRA), Abuya (ISR), Kill Dem Crew (FRA), Soundquake (GER), Civalizee (BEL), Sensi Movement (GER), Million Vibes (SWE), Topaz (SWE), Hakuna Matata (GER), Trinity (SWE), Rootsman Hi-Fi (DK), Pro Sound System (CZ), Likedat Sound (RUS), Governor Andy (SWE), Fast Forward (SWE), Bashment Kingz (EST), KOS Crew (SW) and Jackpot Sound (GER) as well as having played with most of the Finnish artists such as Raappana, Paarma, Jukka Poika, Puppa J, Bongo Rhino, Momo Cat etc.

Selector Bommitommi is also a well-respected Finnish reggae producer, having released seven reggae albums (including mic man Paarma's album and chart-topping Soul Captain Band albums) and numerous singles that have sold well over 30 000 copies in Finland. His latest big production is Raappana's album that was released on the 3rd of October 2007.
