Reggae Made In Réunion
Formé en 1991, issu du groupe de Maloya (musique traditionnelle de la Réunion)« KOMAN NA FÉ » avec Michel ANDAMAYE, Pascal GAPS et Guy Noël ALEXIS, Luciano MABROUCK lancent KOM ZOT.
Originaire du Chaudron, un quartier de Saint-Denis de la Réunion qui comme son nom l’indique est réputé chaud, KOM ZOT est le pionnier du reggae réunionnais.
En 1994, ils sortent « REBEL KABARÉ », leur premier album chez Discorama, l’un des plus gros producteurs de l’île. De cette aventure, verront le jour, deux autres albums et un best of. Pendant dix ans le groupe joue sur toutes les scènes de l’île, rencontre et fait la première partie des plus grands noms du reggae tels que : Lee Perry, I Jah Man, Steel Pulse, Aswad ,Culture, Israel Vibrasion,Lucky Dubbe, etc.
En 2000, KOM ZOT fait la première partie des « The Gladiators » à la Réunion sur la scène de la Ravine Saint Leu, le feeling passe
En 2004, Albert GRIFFITHS invita le groupe à faire la première partie de sa dernière tournée avec The GLADIATORS.
Cette même année, Kom Zot lança son propre label sous le nom de MaronRprod en produisant Jean Louis LEON qui n’est qu’autre que le choriste du groupe. Puis en 2005, KOM ZOT FAMILY 974 REGGAE.un album
ou figurent plusieurs artistes de cette nouvelle génération montante de la musique local.
Pour 2007, KOM ZOT prépare son nouvel album qui sera réalisé par un certain Tyrone DOWNIE sur lequel pourrait figurer un featuring avec Al GRIFFITHS. KOM ZOT vous promet aussi un DVD live et une tournée française pour 2008

KKOM ZOT members are from the « Chaudron », a neiboughood of Saint –Denis ( the island main city)known for being « hot temper but warm ».That the reason why they choose reagge to express themselves.
Because, they wanted they music to be a reflexion of who they are, where they are from,because, those values made them , who they are today.
At first KOM ZOT was a maloya ( traditional music) band, then became « KOM ZOT » in 1991 with a first single called« Koman Na Fé ».The single hit the chart, straight to number 1, turning Kom zot into one of the foundation of reggae in Reunion island
You will enjoy 10 songs in « Fé In Zès » including « Son Of His Majesty » featuring Albert Griffiths, son of the amazingly talented Al Griffiths. ,you can also find a duet of Luciano Mabrouck with the talented Hass Keîta , which brings back a strong african vibe to the album with « Ini Anou (Enfants d’Afrique) ».
A Live DVD is in project, form they amazing show at « le theatre en plien air » in Saint-Gilles city.Release is schedule for early 2008.
Since their first album « Rebel Kabaré » in 1994 with Discorama ( the mail local label), Kom Zot had never stop raising the « Reggae Made In Réunion » to not only a national level, but international as well. Kom ZOT already count tree albums :Pélérinaz 1996, Sweet 2000 & a best of in 2002.
KOM ZOT performed with the biggest artists of his influences such as: I Jah Man, Lucky Dube, Steel Pulse, Culture, Israel Vibration, Lee Perry at the « SAKIFO FESTIVAL 2006 » twice.
Adding to those amazing experiences, KOM ZOT is really proud and were blessed to be chosen amoung many, to be the opening act of Griffiths during « The Gladiators tour « in 2004. ( 22 dates all trought France)
Kom Zot has recently started their own label named « MaronRprod » ,with 2 coming out artists Jean Louis Léon « Lord » in 2004, and Kom Zot Family « 974 Reggae » in 2005.

Pensez-vous qu'il est préférable de signer dans une maison de disque ou bien de continuer d'être en auto-production, connaissant la crise actuelle que subissent les maisons de disques.
A ce jour, j'ai vendu plus de 8000 exemplaires du dernier album "libre" en auto-production et en auto-distribution. Le prochain est prêt à sortir, et c'est une question qui me trotte la tête. Merci de réagir, j'attends vos réponses avec impatiente.
