Konfrontation is comprised of 5 Solid Local Artists from Oahu, HI, whom began their friendship over 10 yrs. Ago. KC Kawaa (Lead Vocals & Rhythm Guitarist/Song Writer), Robin Miyataki (Lead Guitarist/Back Up Vocals/Original Progressions & Music) & Kauhi Miyataki (Bassist) And the 2 newest additions to the band Wes Brum (Drums) and Joshua Versola (Keys) Some of their music influences are: Bob Marley, Sublime, SOJA, Iration, Natural Vibrations, Ooklah the Moc, Rebelution to name a few. Their writing & music style is very diverse & not limited to Reggae, Alternative, Jawaiian, Hawaiian, Rap, R&B, & Rock. Their lyrics are drawn from everyday life & past experiences, hardships & successes. They have entertained at such venues as: Pipeline Café, Waikiki Shack, Mililani Shack, Board Riders, & Roof Top of Dave & Busters. They’ve also had the privilege to open for extraordinary bands such as Natural Vibrations, Ooklah the Moc, SOJA, Gentleman, Rebelution, & Iration and have shared the stage w/ Ten Feet, All Natro, Thrive, Kawao, Koauka, 82Fifty, Go Jimmy Go, Hot Rain, BW,& etc. In addition, they’ve done many Private Events. KC & Robin were initially playing w/other bands prior to forming Konfrontation. On a very special night, at one of Kauhi’s Parties at his home, these men decided to set up the equipment & “Jam.” The music came alive & the vibe was right. As a direct result, the Band originated on October 2006 They have spent the past year writing and amassing a number of original music compositions & fine tuning their unique stage presentation. Currently, they are working on executing the production of their new CD & preparing for several Local & National tours planned for this year & next. They are focusing on establishing themselves & taking their music to the next level.
