Although I am not Turkish, Turkiye is near to my heart and Turkish music occupies most of my time and imagination. Istanbul is a beautiful town; beautiful masajid, delish food, interesting people and wicked music and musicians everywhere you go.
I teach Darbuka, and If you are going to be in the Seattle area, my email is: kalardo@hotmail.com
I've been playing Darbuka for about 15 years; Islam is the true love of my life, but Darbuka is the close second. I hope every year to gain new skills and to help spread solid techniques to whoever is interested. I live in Seattle, Washington.
All is good dude. Recording with a couple of cool bands and word has it that my old band 'The Reefers' will be having a reunion! Very wicked massive. You would dig that group i think, its Middle Eastern surf music. Rock on brother, speak soon.
So, while you were putting Deicide's video up on my page, I was actually introducing Deicide to the youth. You must have heard...weird, and yet so very cool. -Lew
Wow! we made it to the top friends. We are honored, in that old school samari way, not in that I'm from Seattle and am going to say what I think you want to hear way. peace hommie
