KOODOO a 4 piece Indie/Rock band from Wigan were formed in December 2003. Consisting of David Winstanley (lead vocals and guitar), Tom Derbyshire (guitar and vocals), Paul Wilkinson (bass guitar and vocals) and Ben Yates (drums and vocals), KOODOO’S music blends the superb, instantly recognisable vocals of David Winstanley with a big guitar sound, sublime 3 part backing vocals, melodic, creative bass lines and driving, innovative drums, to create songs that although indie/rock in origin have an identity all of their own.
After spending the first three years of their existence writing material rehearsing, recording demos and gigging the local circuit, KOODOO gradually began to mature in their writing endeavours developing their sound and stagecraft into that of a tight, experienced indie rock band until it was decided that the band were finally ready to record a high quality album.
The difficult decision was which songs NOT to record. With a list of around 25 original tracks to choose from, all of which would have been suitable, the band decided to focus on what they felt were the ten songs that best reflected the band’s strengths, and so in the summer of 2007 KOODOO began work on their debut album “A Feeling Inside”.
KOODOO have recently finished recording their debut 10 track album “ A Feeling Inside” recorded, produced and mastered by the superb John Kettle of Jarraff House Recording Studio. The album was totally self financed by the band, to the tune of around £2,500 a sign of their commitment, belief and dedication to their music.
Having completed work on the album KOODOO are currently in the process of promoting the album, rehearsing for their live shows, booking gigs and performing throughout the North West and the surrounding areas. The band are also currently on the look out for a manager/record company to help them onto the next level of their musical career.

hey ben/koodoo realliii sorri i couldnt make the gig on friday night! i planned on coming but ended up having to stay behind in colege to get a music deadline met! grrr! so i was way to tired afterwards! next gig.for sure :) il be there wearing my tshirt :D xxxxxxxx
