Parte così il recupero di storici classici della grande mela [e non solo], aumentando l'interesse e lo studio verso grandi maestri come Rakim, Gangstarr, Big Daddy Kane, LL Cool J, Kool G Rap, Slick Rick, Black Moon, Heltah Skeltah e Smiff-N-Wessun; innamorandosi dei beats di grandi beatmakers come Dj Premier, Pete rock, Jay Dee, Easy Moe Bee, Lord Finesse, Diamond D, Erick Sermon, Q Tip, BeatNuts, Buckwild, Large Professor, Havoc, Rza, Dr.Dre, Alchemist, Clark Kent, Beatminerz, MFDoom, Madlib, Just Blaze e tantissimi altri... Sono gli mc's della golden age ad attirare maggiormente l'attenzione di KBC, grande fonte di ispirazione gli diedero [e gli danno tuttora] rapper come Biggie, Nas, Az, Method Man, Redman, Raekwon, Gza, Ghostface, Tupac, Krs One, BigL, Mobb Deep, Cormega, Big Pun, O.C., Buckshot e la lista potrebbe continuare per molto...questo tipo di studio è chiaramente accompagnato dal costante e frenetico aggiornamento per rimanere perennemente al passo con i tempi e i nuovi stili. L'aggiornamento assiduo è vitale per questo artista, come il confronto con i cosidetti "new cats" d'oltreoceano, confronto che KBC tiene sempre in evoluzione grazie al contributo che trova anche nello studio di grandissimi maestri dei primi anni 80'.
