Kool Tone is a DIY record label based in the Northwest of England. We put out limited edition, hand finished, and individually numbered CDRs, tape compilations & vinyl. A label for music fans who still love to hold something in their hands, something collectable, special and tactile. We’re not exactly prolific and we don’t offer big recording contracts but we do love discovering new bands and artists and doing all we can to promote their music through our releases. For us it’s not about making money but about giving something back, and having a bit fun while doing it.

Hey, i'm up to lots of things in cold New Zealand, i'm loving it out here, i'm running out of money fast though. The recession has hit Australia and I dont have a working visa for New Zealand. this is most clever diy pacakaging i've seen in a long time. inexpensive but effective (and far away from cheap look!). bands are really good. actually, i found that vol. 1 is great! hope you'll sell all of cd's.

Just listened to extracts from the ether volume 1. Really well done mate. I could not be more pleased. I love the selection of bands, often when you hear a compilation of unsigned artists it can be a bit ropey but I found myself playing this cd over and over again. Gonna drop the other bands on the cd an email just to say well done. It is rare to find a cd with so many good tracks on it. As Fergie would say I am pwoud, very pwoud. ;)
