Kore Ionz, uniting in Seattle from four corners of the globe, mash up roots reggae with rock and world riddims, perpetuating a message of compassion and a culture of love. Water for roots. Love of reggae. Fire for rock.
50% of the proceeds from their first album, Half-Hour Revolution, are being donated to Seattle non-profit the Service Board to support mentorship and leadership programs for youth in marginalized communities.
The ethnic makeup of the band represents five continents, with musical backgrounds equally as diverse, resulting in a global sound and culture that is their own. Promoting awareness of social injustice and the need to build a caring intragenerational community, their message is urgent and from the heart.
Wow. That was a mind-blowing experience last night....you guys are so tight, what a spectacular show, really. So refreshing to hear such original POSITIVE music, thanks so much for bringin' it to the Red Bike. Pak...I admire your dedication & energy....as I mentioned last night, it reminds me of a good friend Jacob Bain. Music is the blood that flows through your veins and you bring the party, for sure. It sure helps to surround yourself with other great musicians too...all of them are pretty amazing. Thank you to all of you for taking the time to come out to Vashon Island and sharing your music with us.....big ups from this Island community, we can't wait 'til you return. ~pete~
