Hi there! I'm a married dutch man. I'm a graphic designer in my every day life. And I'm actually a guitar player, but nowadays I play bass in a band called BEN FOLDS REVIVE. Besides that I've released a book about songwriting called 'HARTEN VAN HELDEN' (Hearts of heroes), which includes inspiring stories that arose from conversations I had with some of the greatest Dutch and Belgian songwriters, like: Daniël Lohues, Ilse DeLange & Bruce Gaitsch, Bart van der Weide (Racoon), Bennie Jolink (Normaal), Thé Lau, Boudewijn de Groot, Peter Slager (Bløf), Jack Poels (Rowwen Hèze), Leon Giesen (Mondo Leone), Jacob de Greeuw (Johan), Joost Zweegers (Novastar), Tom van Laere (Admiral Freebee) and more. The book (which I designed as well) got published by Het Spectrum, one of the leading publishers of the Benelux.
Today I'm working on a follow up. Only this time with the help of my musical heroes from abroad. I've already spoken to Ben Folds, Zach Gill (ALO), Neil Finn (Crowded House) and Bill Janovitz (Buffalo Tom) and a date is set for a meeting with Marc Broussard. Heb je boek (nog) niet gelezen, maar het doet me op voorhand denken aan Bill Flanagan's Written in My Soul, wat ik toentertijd met enorm veel plezier en interesse gelezen heb. Was het een inspiratiebron?
