The Kosmos were formed in London in 2007 and quickly developed their own unique style of 60s inspired Brit-pop that has earned them international recognition. Their buoyant well-crafted songs and finely honed melodies are one of London’s best kept secrets...though not for long. Their recent dynamic live performances at venues such as 93 Feet East, Rhythm Factory, and Purple Turtle are testament to the fact that this band belongs on the big stage. .... The band came to be through adverts placed on ‘UK Music Jobs’ by Andrew Crayford...Harpal Mudhar joining first, followed soon after by Ben Scrivener. Chris Ormiston completed the line-up on bass following his introduction to Andrew by Ben. They all immediately sensed there was a very special dynamic between them and set about intensive rehearsals. A mere 3 months later the band were performing on the London live circuit. .... In 2008, Andrew was approached by Harvest Music who wished to feature the song 'So In Love' on CD Compilation 'Dig Music Vol 1'. The cd was distributed on the college and independent radio circuit in the U.S, and in 2010 Harvest Music invited Andrew to join their roster of publishing/licensing artists. The infectious quality of the song and Beatle-esque rich harmonies compell anyone with a heartbeat to sing along and tap their toes by the time the first chorus kicks in. .... Andrew Crayford was born in London, and inspired to become a songwriter by bands like The Stone Roses, Charlatans and Oasis. Picking up his older brother's acoustic guitar, he started learning chords and writing lyrics in his schoolbooks, deciding at aged eleven music would be his career. .... Ben Scrivener is a dynamic accomplished guitarist with extraordinary abilities beyond his years. He mesmerizes audiences with his energy and finesse and makes it look all so easy. His interpretation of songs is second to none, and is one of those rare guitarists who is comfortable playing any genre. .... Harpal Mudhar is Drummerworld's Young Drummer Of The Year 2007. The technicality and dynamism of his drumming at The World Young Drummer Of The Year competition was breathtaking. He is destined to become one of the great drummers of all time along with John Bonham of Led Zeppelin. .... Chris Ormiston is a classically trained lead guitarist, as well as being an accomplished bassist. He has developed an understanding with Harpal Mudhar on drums to give the Kosmos its anchor of rich rhythms that has become synonymous with the band. ....
