Kostaman Bio : Kostaman has performed solo acts and highly energized acts with his Good Vibrations Band from Whistler, B.C. for the past 4.5 years. His unique music is a creative mix of Rock, Experimental, World-Beat, Blues and Reggae genres. Kostaman was Established in June 2004 and has performed over 900 shows within the last 4 years that have included performances on both local and international stages. He has performed at The Telus World Ski & Snowboard Festival in 2005 and 2006 alongside internationally acclaimed artists such as; Toots and the Maytals, Michael Franti and Spearhead, Xavier Rudd, etc. Kostaman has also performed as an opener for International acclaimed artists that include; Long Beach Short Bus including members from Sublime and Dub All Stars, Fishbone, Jah Cutta and more... Kostaman has performed at many Western Canadian Festivals including The Koots Roots Culture Festival, The New Music West Festival, The Wild At Arts Festival, The SERF Festival,The Telus World Ski & Snowboard Festival, The Pemberton Festival and more... Kostaman was recently featured on The Global Morning News for his second live performance & interview. He constantly collaborates & promotes other artists and strongly believes in keeping Unity amongst Musicians! Kostaman and Jana Marie started a non profit charitable society in October 2005 called 'Bands Against Hunger' that became an official Society on April 11, 2006 thanks to the help of Local Whistler Lawyer, Nick Davies.Their goal is to grow a musical family that glues together musically and helps to create awareness & funds for humanitarian issues in both their community and other communities globally. 'It's much more powerful to work as a team.' ( www.myspace.com/bandsagainsthunger ) Kostaman released his first EP ,'Setting Roots' Demo, in December 2005 and is working hard on the next (professional) recording project. Kostaman has also teamed up with DJ Phroh to work on a great dance album as well! Kostaman has been on four Western Canadian tours and was very excited to bring his special energy to new audiences. Even though he is working hard on recording and writing new music, he has some performance dates scheduled for the Spring and Summer seasons accross Western Canada -- so, look out for dates near you !

We're not sure if you caught our latest blog. But as you may know or not know, we are a new media recording studio in Squamish BC. We are calling all local bands that would like to participate in being part of the Studio's 1st offical CD release - a Sound & Soul Studios compilation disc featuring the 10 best performances/productions.
The cost to each band/solo artists is $100 for 1 song if you can play all your own parts and don't require any pre/post production.
or
$150 for 1 song which would include prouction.
Production work is being defined as layering, arrangements, session playing, etc. All within a 3 or 4 hour block, depending if you need or don't need production work.

The Bands Against Hunger Society is calling out for all Musicians, Artists, Dancers, Volunteers, Photographers, Sound Man and the local Community to come together to raise funds and awareness at our next Bands Against Hunger event! 2-day Benefit on December 21st, 2008 and December 22nd, 2008 to be held at Buffalo Bill's Bar.
The money raised will be going to the following three charities:
1) a local charity that needs the most assistance, 2) TOV Orphan Centre in Namibia, Africa (tov. tsumeb. info) and 3) Playground Builders (playgroundbuilders. org)
