BIO: With a name like Papi Dominguez you would expect to hear a more latin or hispanic sound right? WRONG!! Papi Dominguez aka Kool Koupe is a kool laid back southern rapping vet that is bringing his sound to the midwest. Cousin of late underground artist Jason Johnson better known in the streets of Savannah, GA as Camoflauge, Papi has been causing alot of commotion amongst Atlanta, Florida, and St. Louis PRs and making several people wonder, "why haven't you been signed yet?" "I'm just waiting for the right deal." said Papi in a recent interview. "I am the first solo artist from my group, 2 Suave Click (originators of the "Dougie" track), and in 2005 we were discussing a deal over with Suave House, the label that brought you 8Ball and MJG, and Tela, but it never went past talking. I just want to sign a contract and be comfortable in my decision." Papi recently attended the Southern Entertainment awards alongside longtime friend and dj, DJ Dacik1, whom was nominated for the SEA Rookie Mixtape DJ of the Year. While in Mississippi Papi surely made an impression by sporting his signature cowboy hat, boots, and a "F*** Ya'll I'm From TEXAS" t-shirt. Once noticed for his unusual swag and comical and entertaining lyrics from his mixtape "The Koollest Human Breathing" Papi Dominguez quickly received calls to do interviews and was featured in various magazines including SEA Magazine, SXP Magazine, and Hood Magazine to name a few. When asked, "What makes you such a different rapper?" he replied, "I'm Kool. I define Kool as being yourself. A lot of rappers sometimes portray themselves as gangster rappers and they're not. I'm not one of those rappers. I'm kool because I'm me." Being featured on more than 30 mixtapes with his single "Panties Dropping" and consistently doing shows around the South and making his way throughout the Midwest, the Killeen, Willow Springs, 4-9, Texas native is on his way to the top.
