"Kovak have actually done a 'Hit Hit Hit' album... It's fun, it's sassy: There's nothing hotter. Get jiggy with it."
Artrocker
"Classy production and a handful of very hooky songs"
Latest 7
"A glorious indie disco meld of cantankerous old analogue synths and razor sharp buzzing guitar riffs"
The Source
"Novocaine for the aching feet, if this comes on at the end of the night, a hero or not, if you're asking I'm dancing"
Altsounds.com
"Heroes And High Heels remembers a lost genre of enjoyment and exuberance"
The Daily Music Guide
"A must-listen for all you devoted pop, electro, dance and '80s fans out there"
Arjan Writes
"The song kinda has that British rock vibe to it with a top heavy electro current that just screams head-bopping, iPod perfect music"
Electroqueer
"Sleazy electronica combined with the catchy riffs of indie, Kovak certainly know what the current order of the day is when it comes to pleasing masses"
Tasty
"Having already made a sizeable dent in the unsigned scene – fuelled in part by their hugely popular Brighton club nights – Kovak now look set to bitch-slap the nation’s airwaves into submission with the release of debut single - I Love the Dance Floor."
High Voltage
"Kovak, the rising quintet of England, explodes through speakers with their Dance-Rock rhythms, helping to define a relatively new category of music... ...The songs are a slew of catchy rhythms that are bound to make way for fan's demanding need to move their body to the beat. Kovak, they will be the next best investment for clubs all around, as they will be the key draw for drink sales and late nights."
Underground Mine
"Kovak stand accused, for it is they who are responsible for me producing moves that can at best be described as “Ian Curtis trapped in a strobe, wearing roller skates”
We’re Kovak, we live in Brighton, we love people who dance, spill their pints, snog strangers, love our music and have a kebab on the way home!

Welcome to Theory of Tides crosscurrents of altrock/hiphop/trance.Feedback, tell us your faves. Happy to have you in our Tidal Pool.THE TIDE IS IN…AND SO ARE THE REVIEWS “Mirana’s vocals further establish Theory of Tides as a truly special act, one that can use the widest possible swath of approaches to create the music heard here.” NEUFUTUR “Cool, hip and modern beats are fully loaded on this new album and I simply can’t get enough!” SKOPE “…it’s like alternative trance music, with brief smatterings of hip hop/latin beats. Arty, yes - but does it work? Actually, yes.” EMUSIC “Theory of Tides, and this album specifically, should be seen as a blueprint for how to properly incorporate disparate genres of music into one cogent sound.” NEUFUTUR “…Mirana simply sang her heart out while she meshed in perfectly with Rick’s production.” SKOPE “Karaoke is Theory of Tide’s first bona fide hit that rides a groove while Mirana’s vocals clue listeners into a wonderfully detailed narrative.” NEUFUTUR “Track’s like ‘Elated’ have an Ibiza-in-summer feel and a deep house beat underneath Mirana’s distinctive vocals. ‘Hour of Pain’ vocal fades and quiet bass additions are spot on.” EMUSIC “One aspect that I truly loved about his album was the use of sounds and beats.Production is spot on with Rick bringing his A-game. I heard everything form hip hop, pop/dance, technoish, trance like and tribal beats…” INTERVIEW:skopemag.com/ 2009/11/13/jimmy-rae-flows-along-with-mirana-comstock-of-theory-of-tides
