I like period films. Also, Living Out Loud; The Never Ending Story; Immortal Beloved; Iron Jawed Angels; Girl, Interrupted; the Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy; Juno; Me, You, and Everyone We Know--it's the only time I've been to the theater twice to see the same movie.
Television
I used to not watch TV. Now I do. I like the Office, Battlestar Galactica, the L Word, and Buffy the Vampire Slayer.
Books
I really like books. I have a soft spot for victorian literature. A short list of books that were influential to me at least once is: In the Time of the Butterflies, Dust Tracks on a Road, Their Eyes Were Watching God, De Profundis by Oscar Wilde, Four Quartets and the Cocktail Party both by T.S. Elliot. I also like reading Thich Nhat Hahn. My most entertaining experience with a book was reading The Mists of Avalon.
About me: Experience teaches me that change is the only constant, but it doesn't stop me from dreaming of permanence. I think a song is greater than the sum of its parts. Someday I will enjoy cooking. I can't remember what life was like before my dog, but I'm sure it was empty. I believe that my garden is a magical place. If something seems dichotomous, its misunderstood. I really, really like good coffee.
