I started music around five years ago, when I was finishing school. I used to listen to a lot of Garage & DNB, and would always MC along to So Solid, Heartless, Pay as U Go, Shabba-D and so on.
Knowing I had the ability to MC I took up writing my own lyrics and met up with a DJ I had known from school, we started recording sets live, which soon led myself to become more confident on the microphone and soon after holding battles between other Mc’s.
Not long after I started to DJ and bought myself my first pair of Numark decks, and thought of taking up being a DJ. I collected more and more vinyl and progressed with mixing abilities, while writing lyrics to different beats which lead to me earn my own sort of flow.
Once I knew what I could was capable of I started writing songs which was a lot different from a 16 bar I would spit along to a live set, now it was real passion, late nights, choruses coming out of my ears, fingertips aching from the amount I used to write down! One problem though… how can I record my tunes?
After long discussions with people I got myself a nice little program called: Cool Edit Pro (which I still use to this day) and a old school microphone to lay down my vocals. After recording numerous songs, and a lot of sore throats later. I come across another problem, it wasn’t the love I was receiving or girls loving my choice of music created, it was how would I ever have my own beats for a unique song?
Yes you’ve guess, me myself and I took up producing lol starting off on Fruity Loops I made myself beats so I was able to make an original song. Anyways along time later I quit the being a DJ and concentrated on Vocalling beats and producing, which soon enough put me in contact with some right people where I could get studio time.
Now, studio was a big step for me, I was confident but shy at the same time (if that makes sense) I was in East London comparing against people I have never met before! You can imagine how quite I was lol. But right I thought let me do this, they gave me a trial and put me in the live room in a booth, which now I was very nervous, but the beat started and I done my thing, and… they loved it (thanks)
Not long after studio closed down to relocate which meant doing my own thing again, so I started recording back at home to created various mixtapes and songs to earn a name, which led me to create a myspace and becoming known around the world (thanks to my South African, American, Australian and many more links)
After becoming this Alias (Krazee) I have done so much to keep my name in peoples mouth leaking tunes here and there, sending DJ’s tunes, selling CD’s, flooding the internet with anything I can do. Now with a loyal fan base that returns when something new is in the pipeline, has brought me to now and what you are hearing on this myspace. I have grown as a person, musically and I hope like what you have read, heard or see. Thank you for reading.
