Music
Man, do people have a favorite? I am the same with music as I am with books. I really get into local talent. I support grassroots efforts all the way around.......from handmade goods to buying music from local bands! My favorite local band is Gabriel Harley and Spent Prophets. I think they disbanded after several years of awesome tunes, but they will forever be my favorite! Of course I LOVE LOVE LOVE Crosby Stills Nash and Young, Grateful Dead, James Taylor, Eagles, Ani Difranco.......and many others! I will make up a list for ya some day!Movies

Before I give a book list, just know that I have more books than anything! I have been lugging around boxes of books with each move for years.....I have collected enough to fill a small home library. AND, I have about a gillion more on my shelves that I could list *smiles*.. ..3. Anything Simone de Beauvoir (favorite The Second Sex).. ..4. Anything Jean Paul Sartre (Being and Nothingness is my fave).. ..5. ALL Niezstche.. ..6. Foucault (Love the History of Sex Volumes).. ..7. Jacques Derrida.. ..8. F. Scott Fitzgerald.. I'll list some more later, this gives ya an idea! I am an academic elitist with my readings some times! I read A LOT of philosophy books and want to list out more of my favorite individual texts. I also LOVE a few of my math books: Abstract Algebra, Number Theory and so on!Heroes

I am truly blessed with the gift of your friendship. I'm very sorry that I haven't been in touch like I should have lately. With all that has been going on with Winston I have not gotten too many chances to be online. The weeks have really gone by fast. I praise God so much that Winston is improving and is almost back to 100%. Now we’re going through an uncertain future with JJ as he remains in ICU at the animal hospital. (Details on my blog if you're interested). Hopefully everything will be fine and back to normal soon. Will you please keep our family in your prayers? Thank you for understanding and continuing to be my friend.
