Hello! My name is Kriss and i sing songs and draw pictures. I hope that you enjoy them!
I've just released my first cd with barnbox. It is available from HMV lancaster and www.barnbox.co.uk. Other fun stuff that i've done- I've appeared on Granada Reports and on Radio Lancashire. I've performed at Latitude and Kendal Calling festivals. My song about Morecambe gets played from time to time at Christie Park, home of the mighty shrimps. I've been lucky enough to share the stage with people like phil juptus, simon armitage, carol ann duffy, arthur smith and ed tudor pole as well as bands like mistys big adventure, bearsuit and nizlopi.
If you would like me to come and do a show in your town or city then please get in touch through my myspace or message me at krissfoster@hotmail.com I'd love to play anywhere from a front room to a festival.
hope to see you soon!

"Kriss Foster- he's dead good" - NME
"bizarrely brilliant" -BBC
"An Ivor Cutler for the i-pod generation" -Lancaster Guardian
"it's hard not to love Kriss. In fact, if the world was fair there'd be a Kriss Foster in every home lurking around a corner waiting to make your day a little stranger" - Virtual Lancaster
Homemade Lemonade - Lancaster based purveyers of live electronically enhanced indie folk:
"Loops,
drones and spiralling riffs with mantra-like vocals characterise much
of their live set. Crashing waves of guitar under a chant of ‘I can
walk on water’ … give way to a bleak early-Factory Records sound
updated with electronic effects … reaching an impressive drawn out
climax in the explosive ‘Bliss, Ostensibly.’"(Lunecy Review, July 2009).
Pencil In - Preston-based alternative rock.
Pencil
In are a four piece alternative rock band hailing from the North West
of England. Coupling the incredible vocal clarity of Bill Orrick with
layered, effect soaked, post rock soundscapes and waves of raunchy
balls-out heaviness, theirs is a truly unique sound.
Satellites - 4-piece based in Lancaster Post-rock, ambient, progressive - "a double measure of post rock served with a generous helping of progressiveness."
Quisling
Meat - This is a mystery guest of sorts. He's been in Dry Green, the
Pier Group, the Thens, the Plastic Noons, and more. He's been away for
a while, but he's back in Lancaster. Don't miss this!
