Kris Money was born in Scarborough, where he vividly recalls falling in love with music on a Sunday watching his father play records. Kris experienced a volatile childhood and adolescence, as his father was notorious for philandering, and left Kriss mother to raise him in the projects in a single parent family. His mother always believed in the right way. She always wanted to raise him as if he did have a father so he would never miss out on anything. She struggles to raise him and his older sister at a young age. In his early years Kris took an interest in football, and basketball. He was talked about strongly in these sports till he was unable to pursue any of his talent due to his familys financial circumstances. His mother insisted he attend a school that did not have many of black students. His mother purposely sent him there in order to keep out of trouble, but Kris always felt that, despite being popular (especially with women), he could never completely fit in. When he finally moved to another school across town, he developed an enviable reputation by his athletic talents and his charm with the girls in the school. His family was then able to move out of the violent project surrounding. During this period he began to break away from sports and started demonstrating a talent and passion real hip hop rapping. However, Kris Money still had an attachment to his hood. He swears never to forget where he came from and was thought to keep his focus to where he is heading. His ability to persevere in the competitive global music industry will undoubtedly be attributed to his difficult upbringing, in which he was never handed anything, but rather had to work for all of his success.
