    At first pass you may think jazz chanteuse, but this Nashville native won’t be pigeonholed so easily. The songs are edgy and smart and cut right across the lines. You’ll hear someone just as influenced by Elvis Costello and My Brightest Diamond as she is Sarah Vaughan. She hits it out of the park to real music lovers looking for something different. Her sultry voice meshes with fresh lyrical approaches and a knack for creating edgy pop songs with jazz subtleties. Cothron stands out from the crowd with confident charisma and a fresh attitude that commands attention. Her 2006 release, “Love Letters from a Fool,” garnered great reviews. She is currently prepping for the December 2010 release of her self-titled EP on vinyl and the Spring 2011 release of her next full length record, “Show Me Where the Edge Is.”
