KRISTEN LEE is quickly becoming one of Nashville’s most notable singers. She boasts a powerful voice, expressive and mature beyond her years, and a dynamic stage show full of energy and charisma. Simply put, Kristen leaves her audiences longing for more . . . time and time again.
Born the daughter of a performing musician, Kristen has been immersed in every kind of music imaginable for as long as she can remember. With that knowledge, she has created a unique style all her own, not to mention a song repertoire that exceeds everyone’s expectations. Growing up in Michigan, Kristen would often accompany her father (a guitarist in his own right) in performing at local family gatherings, taking requests and belting out Motown, Country and Rock favorites. Despite losing him to cancer in 1998, she continued to pursue her dream of performing and following in her father’s footsteps, never losing sight of where her musical inspiration came from. “It’s in my blood”, she admits.
Kristen performed regularly at several top regional venues throughout Michigan, backed by some of the best musicians the state had to offer. In 2002, however, it was time for this budding performer to step it up a notch and test the waters in a music scene which allowed for more growth, creativity and opportunity. In doing so, Kristen packed up her bags and made the move to Nashville, Tennessee, a city known for its wide array of talent and competitive edge. It wasn’t long before she was fully embraced by the town’s very tight-knit musical community, singing demos for top publishers and hit songwriters, as well as performing along side some of Nashville’s finest musicians. Quite an achievement for a “hometown” girl, but this is only the beginning . . .
