About Krister Holmes

Originally from West coast Canada Krister Holmes has already carved out a large niche audience who just can’t get enough of his sublime vocals and analogue nostalgia expressed through the flames of contemporary irony. Holmes is a siren calling on all cerebral martyrs to throw themselves on the grenade of experience to explode in beauty and introspection. Taking up his musical education at the age of five Krister has been writing poetry and music his entire life. Bringing with him the prairie skies of his childhood and the coastal rainforest of his adulthood he has crossed the Atlantic from Canada and has been mesmerising audiences with a rich melodic voice that floats, warbles and thrashes over his thick and harmonically complex, finely crafted Wurlitzer sound. Holmes’ haunting vocals and heart piercing melodies have been influenced by many international musicians including Robert Wyatt, Chet Baker, Nick Cave and Elliot Smith.
