I MISS MY POP~POP!
I'm not you're avereage bear.
1st impressions are usually wrong when it comes to judging me. I am definately not who or what you'd expect. I'm very shy and insecure, quirky at times. But I stand by what I feel strongly about. If you piss me off, I'll most likely let you know. other than that, I'm a quiet and nice person. usually too nice for my own damn good.
Music has been a major part of my life ever since i can remember. i was rocking out to Motley Crue by the age of 3! If you ever need a Hair Metal expert for trivia, I'm your girl! I grew up on that stuff and to this day it's my guilty pleasure!
At the age of 14 I finally decided to get more in touch with my musical side and I took guitar lessons and (don't laugh) Marching band in high school (but i never marched at any games! fuck that silly monkey uniform! LOL). During Band, i was never really assigned an instrument, so i just hid behind the big bass drum and played my guitar. suprisingly i always got A's. I dont think my teacher even knew who i was. Then I was a Music Education Major in college, but I never graduated. I guess I'm kind of a slacker. not really, i just started to freak out when i had to perform. It's been years since I've even thought about music in that way, aside from running a website for my local music scene. I'll be forever plagued with "what if..." or "I shoulda...". I kinda suck anyway. I do have a joke band with some friends. I'm not ready to announce it yet though. I'll get alot of hate mail, just for the name of it.
so yeah, I run a local music scene website. I have for over 10 years, anonymously. in december of 2007 i had my first show and finally came out from hiding my identity. long overdue, although i still think im too shy for this. sometimes i panic when people come up to me. the funny thing is, my website is called QUEEN OF THE SCENE. people say im too nice or too shy for a Queen. I guess i need bitch lessons.
anyway, so yeah, i've been putting on shows since december of 2007. the last thursday of every month, i host ROYAL THURSDAYS and every month or so i also do big festivals with like 30 bands, 4 stages, artists, vendors, etc. I also hosted an open mic once, but it got cancelled due to some internal venue problems.
I say "HOST", but i dont ever get on stage or anything. I've actually only spoken into a microphone ONCE in my life. I even went to a radio interview and didnt say a word. yeah, i'm lame. I figgure if im a QUEEN, i can have other people do stuff for me, right?
I work as a security guard. graveyard shift. I have no problem being a bitch at work.
I'm a recovering Diet Coke addict. I havent touched one since April of 2007. but since then, i've probably tripled my coffee consumption. Caffeine is a killer!
I hate Miami. I hate most of the people. I hate the heat. I hate the traffic. I hate Hating, so you can see why living in Miami is a problem for me.
I've always been interested in mental health disorders. I like talking to homeless people and listening to people when they talk to themselves. is that weird? I just wonder if they are actually talking some sense or just spewing random words. and I've always wanted to pick up a hitchhiker and travel with them. Maybe I'm a gypsy at heart. or Maybe I've read too much Keroac. More than all of that though, I wish I could talk to animals! Especially my dogs! (edit- my 3 dogs have since passed away- now i have long in depth conversations with my cat. and yes, she talks back.)
You'll notice just by the people on my friends list that I don't associate myself with "cliques". All the cool kids at the clubs are friends with each other just for the sake of being popular. Not me. I don't look like them. I don't talk like them. I don't act like them. I have substance. I have a mind. I am unique and different and I am my own person. I don't like something just because everyone else does. Just the fact that I have said that makes me feel like I'm in high school again. I am too old for popularity contests. I am not a mold. I do not have a label. I am not for sale. I'd rather be invisible. I am happy being a wallflower.
I am very interested in religious and political conspiracies. In my opinion, they are one in the same. I flirt with the Dark Side. You might call me a Satanist (i prefer humanist), although many people would misinterperate that as being a devil worshipper. That, I am not. Read up, kids. Don't be stupid forever!
